Why Being Busy Does Not Equal Success

Those who are wise won’t be busy, and those who are too busy can’t be wise.

Firstly, being busy does not equal success. I believe being busy (and using ‘busy’ as an excuse for not showing up in your life) is a bad excuse for not having an amazing life (including an amazing sex life). Fact is, we make time for what’s important in our lives…if your sex life is important, make time for it. No excuses.

If you’re like the majority of people in this world, you’re reading this and that little voice inside your head is saying ‘Oh but she has no clue, my life really is genuinely busy and there’s nothing I can do about it’. Stop, sit back, take a deep breath, and take a moment to reflect on what you’re saying. The fact is, if you’re too busy for most things, then you’re simply just existing in life. Being busy in life means life goes quick…and believe me, you want life to slow down.

‘Ok, I’m busy…what the hell do I do? How to I un-busy my busy life?!’ Firstly, start saying NO. That’s right, it’s a one-word answer that you’re probably not saying enough. It’s easy to fall into the trap of saying yes to everyone, and everything. Start saying no and make time to do absolutely nothing.

Ask yourself what your main priorities are in life? Is it work? Is it your relationship? Is it your sex life? Is it your children? Is it your friends? Get clear on what you want to prioritise from this day onwards (not what you’ve been prioritising before today). Write down these priorities and place them at the top of your agenda.

Start today. Not tomorrow, not next week. Start saying no today, start prioritising today. After all, if you prioritise what you want, you get what you want, and you get to enjoy life and not reach your death bed one day wondering where the hell the time went.
